I wish we could all stop trying to be what others want us to be. Bruce's quote says so much. If we live up to our own expectations, that should be enough. I would love to see the honesty that would result. We could see everyone for what they are.

You are right. Im sorry I slipped up on that one. But I tried to included everyone and not just those who are Christians.

i think on the cellular level you're absolutely right. god may be the gold standard. but i think bruce was referring to us as masses of meat that do have to make our own decisions. god may define the boundaries. but everything in those boundaries is up to us.

the problem with a lot of people is that they'll sacrifice personal happiness because it might make parents, siblings, relatives, or friends think less or differently of them.

i'd be okay making my decisions for everyone else if they'll live out the miserable days FOR ME. until that's actually possible, i refuse.

I have a wonderful husband for the last 38 yrs and we have been retired and living on a ranch in Mexico for the last 17 yrs. We go between the best of two worlds by traveling back and forth from the States. I have 3 wonderful children, a stepson, and numerous grandchildren and am about to become a Greatgrandmother. Yippy-Ky-Oh.
